Serene Touch

Staring at our face she quietly smiles,
Her eyes beaming with delight;
She connects through her slightest slot
Between her sleep and dreams
Her laughter and fright!

Her touch - the soft little fingers that
Absorbs the warmth and holds them tight…

She plays and she toddles and she screams and runs;
Faster than she can… her tiny toes sprints
She falls and she rises; and she cries and yet softens;
Delicate and firm, she fastens and secures…

Her dreams have just begun
As God watches upon her with their Benign Grace!

Gently and kindly life moves on as
As we embrace the serene bond.
